Nil Venditti​’s Nordic debut takes place on 14 January in a Mendelssohn-themed matinee with Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, featuring Bottesini’s Grande Allegro alla Mendelssohn (with double-bass player Mattias Hanskov Palm as soloist), Fanny Mendelssohn’s Overture in C major and Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.4.

Venditti returns to the Nordics twice more this season, firstly to conduct the Helsinki Chamber Orchestra as part of Cellofest on 31 January (featuring cellist Leonardo Chiodo in Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor), and secondly with Dalasinonietta in a performance on 3 March; the orchestra writes ​“In this concert, we welcome a new acquaintance to Dalarna; Italian-Turkish shooting star and force of nature Nil Venditti”.
