Critically acclaimed harpsichordist Jean Rondeau takes to the stage of the Wiener Konzerthaus alongside Marin Alsop and the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien on 22 October, performing Francis Poulenc’s Concert Champêtre for Harpsichord and Orchestra in the first of three concerts forming a dedicated ​‘artist portrait’. Lauded in the press as ​“a prominent figure of the nouvelle vague of harpsichordists” (BBC Music Magazine), ​“a prodigy” (Toute la Culture) and ​“a wizard” (Gramophone), Jean Rondeau is the first early music artist to whom the Wiener Konzerthaus has ever dedicated such a portrait, with two more concerts scheduled for early 2023.
