MÁV Symphony Orchestra welcomes back István Várdai for a recital where he plays as soloist for Péter Eötvös’ Cello Concerto Grosso, under the baton of Róbert Farkas at Liszt Academy at the Grand Hall on 13 October. The solo instrument alternates by engaging in a dialogue partly with the orchestra’s cello part and then with the entire tutti ensemble voice; evoking the characteristic elements of Transylvanian dance music.
