Maxime Pascal conducts the Opera National de Lorraine in a revival of Sivan Eldar’s award-winning opera Like Flesh in three performances on 28, 30 September and 2 October. First performed in Lille in January earlier this year, and co-commissioned by Opéra national de Lorraine, Opéra de Lille, and Opéra Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie, Cordelia Lynn’s libretto follows a tale inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses with a focus on humanity’s relationship with ecology and the climate crisis. Helena Rasker stars in the lead role.
