Sopranos Mari Eriksmoen and Alexandra Lowe unite as the heroines in a new production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Kilden Performing Arts Centre, Kristiansand. In her first staged performances of the role, Eriksmoen takes on Donna Anna, while Lowe joins the cast as Donna Elvira. Performances run 17 – 29 September, conducted by Risto Joost and directed by John Ramster.
Elsewhere this season, Eriksmoen debuts at Opéra de Rouen Normandie as Romilda (Serse) under David Bates and as Poppea (L’incoronazione di Poppea) on tour with Ensemble I Gemelli. Lowe debuts as 5th Maid (Elektra) with Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under Sir Antonio Pappano, and joins Glyndebourne on Tour in a double bill of Mozart’s Requiem and Joseph Bologne’s L’amante anonyme.
