This season Jonathan McGovern takes up a position at Stadttheater Bern where his roles begin with Papageno in the late Patrick Schlösser’s production of Die Zauberflöte. Thomas Rösner conducts and performances open on 4 September. Further highlights for Jonathan include Oreste in Silvia Paoli’s new production of Iphigénie en Tauride, Robert in Iolanta and roles in L’enfant et les sortilèges in David Bösch’s new production under Nicholas Carter, and Leuthold in Amélie Niermeyer’s new production of Guillaume Tell.
