PHILHARMONIA AND ROUVALI TOUR TO FINLAND
29/4/2022
After Covid-related postponements, we are excited to finally be able to take the Philharmonia Orchestra to Finland to perform their long-awaited concerts with chief conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali. This is a particularly special occasion as it sees Rouvali bring his new orchestra to his home country and to the home of one of his other orchestras, the Tampere Philharmonic.
Together with pianist Denis Kozhukhin they will perform in two concerts in Helsinki and Tampere, on 2 May and 3 May respectively. The programme consists of:
ROSSINI: Overture from Semiramide
RACHMANINOV: Concerto for Piano No. 2 in C minor, Op.18
TCHAIKOVSKY: Symphony No. 4 in F minor, Op. 36
