Pablo Heras-Casado debuts with Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin in two concerts, on 10 and 11 March, at the Philharmonie and Konzerthaus hall, respectively. He conducts El amor brujo by Manuel de Falla with Marina Heredia, which he recorded for the label harmonia mundi, as well as works by Debussy and Bartók. The programme begins with Berceuse Héroïque from Debussy, a lullaby for a hero, composed in homage to King Albert I of Belgium and his soldiers, followed by his short symphonic poem for orchestra Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, and concludes with Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra.
