10/9/2021
Pablo Heras-Casado returns to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, where he is a regular guest in recent years, to conduct two concerts, including a world premiere by Jacob Mühlrad. With concerts 16 and 18 September, the programme include the new work REMS (rapid eye movement sleep), with light design by Linus Fellbom, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. Performed at the Konserthuset in Stockholm, these two concerts open the orchestra’s season, and live streamed on Konserthuset Play on 19 September at 19:00.
Coming from a concert with the Kozerthaus Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Heras-Casado carries on his busy season with two appearances at MiTo Festival, marking his debut at the festival, on 24 and 25 September, in Milan and Torino respectively. Leading the Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Torino he presents the Italian premiere of Magnus Lindberg’s Aventures and Brahms’ Symphony No. 1.
