18 February marks the highly anticipated release of Nicolas Altstaedt’s 12th album, which delves into Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Cello Concerto recorded alongside Dima Slobodeniouk and Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. The album recorded for the Alpha label also includes Maurice Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello recorded with Altstaedt’s longtime collaborator Finnish violinist Pekka Kuusisto.
