Alban Gerhardt makes a return to Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin for two concerts on 26 and 27 February. Under the baton of Vladimir Jurowski, Gerhardt performs Anton Rubinstein’s Cello Concerto No.2 and the world premiere of Dmitri Smirnow’s Concerto Piccolo for Cello and Orchestra. The programme also contains Tchaikovsky’s Slavonic March and Symphony No.5, and will be broadcast on Deutschlandfunk Kultur on 27 February at 20:00 CET.
