Christian Tetzlaff returns to London Philharmonic Orchestra and Wigmore Hall

Christian Tetzlaff performs Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 2 with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall on 19 January. He plays under the baton of the LPO’s Principal Guest Conductor Karina Canellakis. Entitled ‘Raw Emotion, Endless Peace’ the concert programme opens with Victoria Borisova-Ollas’s The Kingdom of Silence and ends with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4.
On 26 January Tetzlaff continues his residency at the Wigmore Hall in a quartet performance with tenor Julian Prégardien, cellist Tanja Tetzlaff, pianist Lars Vogt, and with Isabelle Vogt as narrator. An all-Schumann programme features Piano Trio No. 2 and 3, Liederkreis, and two ballads, Ballade vom Heideknabenand Die Flüchlinge.
