Christian Tetzlaff performs Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 2 with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall on 19 January. He plays under the baton of the LPO’s Principal Guest Conductor Karina Canellakis. Entitled ​‘Raw Emotion, Endless Peace’ the concert programme opens with Victoria Borisova-Ollas’s The Kingdom of Silence and ends with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4. 

On 26 January Tetzlaff continues his residency at the Wigmore Hall in a quartet performance with tenor Julian Prégardien, cellist Tanja Tetzlaff, pianist Lars Vogt, and with Isabelle Vogt as narrator. An all-Schumann programme features Piano Trio No. 2 and 3, Liederkreis, and two ballads, Ballade vom Heideknabenand Die Flüchlinge.
