Nil Venditti, the principal guest conductor of the orchestra returns to Florence to conduct the Christmas Concerts. On 18 (Figline Valdarno), 21 (Poggibonsi), 22 (Piombino), 23 (Pescia) and 24 December (Florence) the orchestra performs a programme including two Ouvertures by Rossini, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto with Alina Ibragimova as soloist as well as the Italian Premiere of Fazil Say’s Symphonic Danses under Venditti’s baton. The concert from The Verdi Theatre in Florence will be recorded for deferred broadcast on the radio.
