Honouring the work of Camille Saint-Saëns 100th years after the composers’ death, Alban Gerhardt performs his two cello concertos (No 1 Op. 33 and No 2 Op. 119) with Orchestre de Chambre de Paris under the baton of Lars Vogt. On the 16 of October at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées the audience can enjoy Brahms and Wagner alongside the two iconic pieces dedicated to the cello. This performance marks Gerhardt’s debut with the orchestra as well as his first performance as Artist in Residence.
