Alban Gerhardt performs his award-winning interpretation of Dmitri Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No.2 in G major with Deutsches Sinfonieorchester Berlin and Manfred Honeck. The concert on 13 June marks the orchestra’s return to Philharmonie Berlin and will be performed in front of a live audience. It will also be broadcast live on Deutschlandfunk Kultur at 20:30 CET.

Following his concert in Berlin, Gerhardt travels to Hamburg for a recital performance at the Elbphilharmonie on 17 June. He joins forces with Veronika Eberle and Markus Becker to perform Beethoven’s Piano Trios.
