Alban Gerhardt returns to Bilbao for two concerts performing Barber Cello Concerto with Bilbao Symphony Orchestra and Giancarlo Guerrero on 6 and 7 May at Palacio Euskalduna. Gerhardt, joined by his frequent chamber music partner, violinist, Gergana Gergova and musicians from the orchestra also gives a chamber music concert on 10 May. The artists perform Beethoven’s and Dvorak’s String Quintets. The orchestra performance will be broadcast live on Basque TV and available on their on demand service afterwards. 

The concerts in Bilbao conclude 3 weeks of Gerhardt’s engagements in Spain. In the previous weeks he performed a recital with Markus Becker at Fundacion Juan March in Madrid as well as Saint-Saens Cello Concerto No 1 with Orquesta de Valencia and Alexander Liebreich.
