Samy Moussa triumphs at the 2021 Juno Awards in Canada

Harrison Parrott is delighted to share that composer/conductor Samy Moussa has triumphed at the 2021 Juno Awards in Canada, winning the Classical Composition of the Year award with his new violin concerto Adrano. It was premiered on November 28, 2019 by Andrew Wan and ‘lOrchestre Symphonique de Montréal, conducted by Samy’s fellow Harrison Parrott artist Kent Nagano. The OSM, Kent Nagano and Andrew Wan were also awarded the Classical Album of the Year: Large Ensemble for the recording which included Adrano (alongside the Bernstein Serenade and Ginastera’s Violin Concerto); and Samy’s Orpheus in Nunavut was also featured in Ensemble Made in Canada’s Mosaïque which was awarded Classical Album of the Year: Solo or Chamber.
