Born in Montreal in 1984 and based in Germany for over a decade, Samy Moussa maintains close connections on both sides of the Atlantic. Recent and upcoming conducting dates include the Bayerische Staatsorchester, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, RSO Wien, Zürcher Kammerorchester, Les Violons du Roi, Staatskapelle Halle, Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, Calgary Opera and Orchestra Haydn (Bolzano). His compositions have been commissioned and performed by the likes of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and the Brussels Philharmonic and have garnered numerous awards including the Villa Massimo Fellowship at the German Academy in Rome and the Hindemith Prize from the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festspiele.
