31/1/2020
Patricia Kopatchinskaja joins the Philharmonie Luxembourg on 13 February to perform the world premiere of Francisco Coll’s violin concerto, under the baton of chief conductor Gustavo Gimeno. The concerto is a co-commission between OPL & Philharmonie Luxembourg, the NTR ZaterdagMatinee, London Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Symphony and Bamberger Symphoniker.
In a recent interview, Coll described the work as a “portrait of Kopatchinskaja” and “one of the most exhilarating experiences of my creative life”.
Patricia and the OPL will also travel to Coesfeld, Germany on 15 February to perform Shostakovich’s first violin concerto and Bruckner’s fourth symphony.
