Santtu-Matias Rouvali makes his debut with the Concertgebouworkest at the end of January, which marks one of the highlights of this season. Alongside Verdi’s Overture to La Forza del Destino and Stravinsky’s opera-oratorio Oedipus Rex, he conducts the world premiere of Ariadne, a piece commissioned by the Concertgebouw, composed by the recently unexpectedly deceased Dutch composer Theo Verbey.

His first appearance with the Concertgebouworkest is on 30 January, followed by a second concert on 31 January.
