Paavo Järvi returns to conduct the Berliner Philharmoniker

Paavo Järvi returns to conduct the Berliner Philharmoniker for the second time this season on 29, 30 and 31 January. The programme includes Stravinsky’s Scherzo fantastique and Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique as well as the world premiere of a horn concerto by Hans Abrahamsen, commissioned jointly by the Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation, the NHK Symphony Orchestra, the NTR Zaterdag Matinee, the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and the Auckland Philharmonia.
He will also conduct the Japanese premiere of this concerto in Tokyo in February: together with the NHK Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo on 15 and 16 February at NHK Hall.
