TONHALLE-ORCHESTER ZÜRICH HEADS TO INNSBRUCK, VIENNA, BUDAPEST AND DORTMUND

Newly appointed Chief Conductor and Music Director Paavo Järvi conducts Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich with international clarinettist Martin Fröst at the Saal Tirol, Congress Innsbruck on 15 January, the prestigious Wiener Konzerthaus on 16 January, Müpa Budapest on 17 January and Konzerthaus, Dortmund on 19 January.
Programmes include Bartók’s Dance Suite, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.5 and Aaron Copland’s Clarinet Concerto.
Aside from his busy international soloist career, the 2019/20 season sees Martin Fröst commence his tenure as Chief Conductor of the Swedish Chamber Orchestra.
The tour follows the Orchestra’s recent release with Järvi, their first recording together featuring orchestral music by Messiaen, released on Alpha Classics in October 2019 coinciding with his inauguration as Music Director.
