Klaus Mäkelä starts the new year with a return to the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, conducting Bruckner’s Symphony No. 9 and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.22 with Leif Ove Andsnes on 10 and 11 January. 

Mäkelä conducts Bruckner’s Symphony No.9 again later this season in his return to The Minnesota Orchestra on 1 and 2 May . The programme also features Brahms’ Concerto for Violin and Cello in A minor with soloists from the Orchestra, Susie Park and Silver Ainomäe.
