Jess Gillam sees in the New Year on the other side of the Atlantic, giving her debut with Minnesota Orchestra in concerts on 31 December and 1 January. Conducted by Chief Conductor Osmo Vänskä, the orchestra performs a varied programme of Elgar, Britten, Rautavaara and others, featuring Milhaud’s Scaramouche, one of Jess’s signature pieces (performed at the Last Night of the Proms in 2018) as well as William’s Escapades. This will be Jess’s second trip to the US, after her debut performances in New York and Washington earlier this year.
