Following her critically acclaimed performance on the Last Night of the Proms in 2018, the culmination of four appearances at the BBC Proms following her debut in 2017, Jess Gillam joins the core presenting line up of the BBC Proms television coverage, alongside existing presenters Katie Derham, Suzy Klein and Tom Service. 

The twenty-one year old saxophonist and broadcaster became the youngest-ever permanent presenter on BBC Radio 3 in April this year, fronting her own weekly programmeThis Classical Life. The first-ever saxophonist to reach the final of BBC Young Musician in 2016, Jess has since achieved spectacular success as a performer; touring both nationally and internationally, as well as performing at prestigious events including the BAFTAs and the National Portrait Gallery Annual Gala.
