This month Patrick Hahn makes his debut with the Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks, conducting their 2019 Christmas concert. Among the soloists is Mari Eriksmoen who takes the soprano part in the concert. The rich and varied programme includes choral pieces by Poulenc, Janáček, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saëns and Britten, as well the world premiere of Patrick Hahn’s own composition, Ballad of Christmas Ghosts. Set on a text by Scottish poet Andrew Lang for an eight-part a cappella choir, the piece was a commission by the Bavarian Radio Choir.

The concert takes place on December 14 at the Prinzregententheater in Munich.
