Jonathan Roozeman embarks on debut North American Tour

Finnish-Dutch cellist, Jonathan Roozeman, embarks on his first North American recital Tour, with pianist and brother, Jan-Paul. The duo gives performances across Canada including at the prestigious Vancouver Recital Series (28 March) playing works by Boccherini, Debussy, Chopin and Sibelius.
Lauded by the New York Times as a virtuosic player, the young cellist has already collaborated with some of the great names in orchestral conducting today, including Gergiev, Saraste, Salonen Oramo and Vänskä. Recent successes also include; a recital at the Berlin Konzerthaus as part of Sir Andras Schiff’s residency and his concert debut with BBC Symphony Orchestra and Helsinki Philharmonic. Future highlights include concerts with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen and recitals at Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall as part of the 19/20 season.
