Jean-Yves Thibaudet joins Kent Nagano and Orchestre symphonique de Montréal on the Orchestra’s 12th European Tour for performances of Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No.5. They perform in Montreal Maison Symphonique (5 and 6 March) before embarking on a European tour to Hamburg Elbphilharmonie (13 March), Philharmonie Essen (14 March), Munich Gasteig (21 March) and Philharmonie Berlin (25 March). Also performing on tour is pianist, Rafal Blechacz who will join the orchestra for concerts of Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A Major in Düsseldorf (11 March); Vienna (17 March) and Regensburg (22 March) and Mezzo- Soprano, Marie-Nichole Lemieux who joins the orchestra for Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder and their debut performance at the Philharmonie in Paris (19 March) as well as a return to the Palais des Beaux Arts, Brussels (20 March).
Thibaudet and Nagano also perform Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto with Barcelona Symphony Orchestra on 9 and 10 March.
