Pierre-Laurent Aimard performs Bach’s Goldberg Variations at Philharmonie de Paris (28 January) and at the Auditorium de Lyon (3 February) this week. As this season’s Portrait Artist at the Palais des Beaux Arts, he also takes the iconic composition to Brussels, and performs it at Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Concert Hall later this season.

This month, Aimard continues his tenure as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra’s 2018/19 Artist-in-Residence with performances of Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto in Amsterdam, led by François-Xavier Roth, and on US tour in Naples, Florida (10 February), at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington (13 Feb), and at Carnegie Hall New York (Feb 15), conducted by Daniel Harding.
