Lawrence Renes will conduct the Chinese premiere of Written On Skin with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Beijing Music Festival. Performances take place at the Poly Theatre, Beijing, on 23 October, and the Shanghai Symphony Hall on 25 October. The opera, written by George Benjamin and directed by Ben Davis, will feature Georgia Jarman in the role of Agnès.
