Following their highly successful collaboration in 2017, Angela Hewitt and the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich join forces again this year, embarking on a second – this time expanded – UK tour that encompasses six different venues across the country.
Together with the Orchestra’s principal conductor Yutaka Sado, Hewitt performs Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto on 27 October at Leeds Town Hall, 28 October at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall, 31 October at London’s Cadogan Hall, 1 November at Basingstoke’s The Anvil and 2 November at Symphony Hall in Birmingham.
Hewitt also play-directs Bach’s Keyboard Concertos BWV 1056 and BWV 1052 on 30 October at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall, and in March 2019 she re-joins the orchestra for performances of these works at Vienna’s Musikverein – making her debut at this venue – and the Festspielhaus St. Pölten.
