CASE SCAGLIONE NAMED MUSIC DIRECTOR OF ORCHESTRE NATIONAL de’ÎLE-DE-FRANCE FROM SEPTEMBER 2019

HarrisonParrott are delighted at the appointment of Case Scaglione as the next Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, effective from September 2019.
Case first worked successfully with the Orchestra in spring 2016 and has since then become a regular guest conductor. Upcoming concerts in October 2018 feature works by Rouse, Khachaturian and Mussorgsky.
On accepting the appointment, Case commented: “It is rare and precious to experience such a feeling of complicity, trust and attention with an orchestra of this level, from the very first rehearsals. I am very honoured to be able to work with these great musicians so invested and open-minded; it is immensely inspiring to be able to contribute in developing the unique, demanding and generous, noble and altruistic mission of an orchestra entirely devoted to its own region. I am very impatient to start the musical adventure that we are going to write together, curious about the rich exchanges that we will provoke in order to evolve together and feed ourselves on all the diversity of the symphonic repertoire and the music of today. I am sure that we will share some wonderful artistic emotions with the public of the Parisian region.”
In addition to his busy agenda with the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, this season Case Scaglione makes his Belgian debut with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra and returns to Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Phoenix Symphony, Brno Philharmonic and Kristiansand Symphony orchestras. Among the highlights of 2017/2018 were critically acclaimed debuts with Brussels Philharmonic, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, San Diego Symphony, Ulster Orchestra and Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco.
