Case Scaglione adds another top-Level debut to his 2017/18 season

On 6 and 7 April Case Scaglione debuts with the San Diego Symphony in a challenging programme featuring Elgar’s Cello Concerto, Koldály’s Concerto for Orchestra, and Romanian Rhapsody No.1 by Enescu. The winner of the Tchaikovsky Cello Competition 2015, Andrei Ioniţă, is the soloist.
These concerts mark another important, new collaboration for Scaglione this season, in addition to his recent debuts with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco.
Chief Conductor Designate of the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Case will begin his tenure with an inauguration concert on 19 September 2019 conducting Schumann’s Cello Concerto with Johannes Moser and one of his signature works, Schumann’s Symphony No.2.
