Angela Hewitt launches the penultimate year of her ambitious and much-lauded Bach Odyssey project this month, commencing the 2018/19 season with performances of Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier Books I and II at Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw on 14 and 16 September and at The University of Hong Kong’s Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre on 21 and 23 September.

She then journeys on to Japan to perform Book II at the Kioi Hall in Tokyo, one of five major cities (the others being London, Florence, New York and Ottawa) in which she is presenting all of J.S. Bach’s solo keyboard works across 12 recitals in four years.
