Jiří Rožeň debuts with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra
9/2/2018
On 12 February, our recent signing, Czech conductor Jiří Rožeň reappears in the iconic Rudolfinum in Prague following his successful subscription debut with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. A tribute to the late, world famous Czech harpsichordist Zuzana Růžičková, a very special programme features Stravinsky’s Symphonies of Wind Instruments as well as Concerto for Harpsichord and Strings by Viktor Kalabis performed by soloist Mahan Esfahani, and Leoš Janáček’s splendid Glagolitic Mass. The concert will be broadcast live by Czech Radio and its EBU partners in Denmark and Spain (Catalunya Ràdio). Also Deutschlandradio Berlin (15 Feb), as well as public radio stations in Sweden, Serbia, Croatia (30 April), Romania, Poland and Bulgaria will broadcast the concert later this year.
