Gautier Capuçon performs with the Wiener Philharmoniker and Semyon Bychkov in Vienna’s Musikverein for a performance of Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No.1 (11 and 12 Nov). Capuçon appeared with the Wiener Philharmoniker in 2015 at Mozartwoche Salzburg, but this marks his first appearance with the Orchestra in their home city of Vienna. The concerts will be recorded and broadcast by the Austrian Broadcasting company ORF. 

Following his performances with the Wiener Philharmoniker, Capuçon will stay in Vienna for his third performance of the Lalo Cello Concerto with Brussels Philharmonic and Stéphane Denève (14 Nov, Musikverein). This performance follows earlier concerts in Brussels (6 Oct) and Bruges (7 Oct) and precedes the final performance of the tour in Salzburg (15 Nov).
