Alina Pogostkina starts the season with exciting debut performances. She opens the BBC Symphony Orchestra season performing Berg’s Violin Concerto under the baton of Sakari Oramo whom she has collaborated with successfully many times. The concert takes place on 27 September at Barbican Centre in London. 

One week later Alina travels to Hungary to perform Sibelius’ Violin Concerto with Budapest Festival Orchestra and Marin Alsop, with two concerts in Budapest (4/5 October) and Pécs (6 October). 

In November, Alina makes her debuts with Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome under the baton of Mikko Franck playing Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.1 (16/17/18 November) and one month later she teams up with Osmo Vänskä and Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin performing Nielsen’s Violin Concerto (9 December) at Konzerthaus.
