Three HarrisonParrott Artists shortlisted for Gramophone Classical Music Awards 2017

Three HarrisonParrott artists have been shortlisted for Gramophone Classical Music Awards 2017: Lisa Batiashvili, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, and Osmo Vänskä.
Lisa Batiashvilli has been nomiated in the Concerto category for her recording Tchaikovsky and Sibelius: Violin Concertos (Deutsche Grammophon) with Staatskapelle Berlin, conducted by Daniel Barenboim.
In the Contemporary category, Pierre-Laurent Aimard has been nominated for his recording with Symphonieorchester Des Bayerischen Rundfunks conducted by George Benjamin: Benjamin, Ligeti, Murail: Orchestral Works (Neos).
Completing the nominees, Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra are nominated in the Orchestral section, for their recording of Sibelius: Symphonies Nos 3, 6 & 7 (BIS), the third instalment of their complete Sibelius symphonic cycle.
This year the Gramophone Awards is marking its 40th anniversary. The winners of each category will be announced on 1 September and presented at an awards ceremony on 13 September.
