Lisa Batiashvili begins her residency with the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia Rome. Over the 2017/18 season, Batiashvili will perform two major concertos and chamber music. 

Her first appearance as Artist-in-Residence is with Santa Cecilia Music Director Antonio Pappano for performances of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto (07, 09, 10 December). She returns in February to perform Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.2 with Manfred Honeck (08, 09, 10 February 2018). To complete her residency, Batiashvili will be joined by François Leleux and members of the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia for a chamber music programme including Bach’s Double Concerto for Violin and Oboe (09 May 2018).
