Jack Swanson debuts in the UK
22/6/2017
Young US tenor Jack Swanson performs in the UK for the first time as Albazar in Martin Duncan’s production of Il turco in Italia for Garsington Opera. Conducted by David Parry, Jack performs from 26 June to 15 July.
A rapidly rising Rossinian tenor, Jack will soon return to the UK for his debut on the Glyndebourne Tour in the autumn as Conte Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia alongside fellow American Tobias Greenhalgh as his Figaro, and also making his UK debut. Although still a young artist, Jack already has some of America’s great houses in his sights including LA Opera and Santa Fe Opera next season, and has already joined Houston Symphony this season for Bruckner’s Te Deum under Christoph Eschenbach.
