Christopher Ventris returns to the Wiener Staatsoper as Parsifal in Alvis Hermanis’ new production under Semyon Bychkov, opening 30 March. 

An experienced and hailed interpreter of the role, having most recently performed Parsifal at the Dutch National Opera this season under Marc Albrecht, Christopher reprises another of his calling-card roles in the summer – Siegmund – at the Budapest Wagner Festival under Adam Fischer and Bayreuth Festival under Marek Janowski.
