Layla Claire brings her acclaimed Donna Elvira to Opéra de Montreal in David Lefkowich’s production of Don Giovanni. Performing under Jordan de Souza, the run opens on 12 November.

Layla made her debut at the Salzburger Festspiele in this role in the summer and was praised for her ​“arresting stage presence coupled with a solid vocal technique” (Bachtrack), and ​“powerful and sentient” portrayal (BR-Klassik). 

Later this season, Layla brings Elvira to Opernhaus Zürich under Riccardo Minasi and returns to Opera Philadelphia as Contessa Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro).
