Angela Hewitt returns to 92nd Street Y in New York to present the first two recitals of the Bach Odyssey – all of JS Bach’s solo keyboard works across twelve recitals in four years at various venues around the world.
On 27 October Hewitt presents varied works including the Capriccio in E major and the complete Two-part Inventions and Three-part Sinfonias. She then performs all of Bach’s French Suites at a second recital on 30 October.
The Bach Odyssey began at Wigmore Hall in London on 25 September and in Florence on 8 October, and future performances include returns to Wigmore Hall on 15 January 2017 and 92nd Street Y on 4 April 2017. The Bach Odyssey also includes recitals in Ottawa and Tokyo.
