Susanne Resmark and Kim Begley sing Klytämnestra and Aegisth respectively in Livia Sabag’s production of Elektra for Teatro Municipal de São Paulo. Under Resident Conductor and HarrisonParrott’s new signing, Eduardo Strausser, performances open on 9 October.

Both artists make a welcome return to South America following performances as Leocadija Begbick and Fatty in Weill’s Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny at Teatro Municipal Santiago de Chile last season. Resmark reprises the role of Begbick for Danish National Opera this season alongside performances as Mrs. De Rocher in Heggie’s Dead Man Walking whereas Begley reprises Busoni’s Mephistopheles (Doktor Faustus) at Semperoper Dresden, and creates Polonius in the world premiere of Brett Dean’s Hamlet for the 2017 Glyndebourne Festival.
