Andrew Foster-Williams debuts at Opera de Bordeaux

Andrew Foster-Williams joins Opéra National de Bordeaux for a specially curated project around the story of Don Quixote including excerpts from Ravel’s Don Quichotte à Dulcinée, De Falla’s El Retablo de Maese Pedro and Massenet’s Don Quichotte. Conducted by Marc Minkowski, the production runs from 17 to 25 September.
Looking ahead to a busy season on both sides of the Atlantic, Andrew’s highlights include Don Pizarro in a concert performance of Fidelio at the Philharmonie de Paris, Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius with the Minnesota Orchestra and Edo de Waart, Escamillo in Kasper Holten’s new production of Carmen at the 2017 Bregenz Festival and Bach’s St John Passion with The Cleveland Orchestra under Franz Welser-Möst.
