Andrew Foster-Williams joins Opéra National de Bordeaux for a specially curated project around the story of Don Quixote including excerpts from Ravel’s Don Quichotte à Dulcinée, De Falla’s El Retablo de Maese Pedro and Massenet’s Don Quichotte. Conducted by Marc Minkowski, the production runs from 17 to 25 September.

Looking ahead to a busy season on both sides of the Atlantic, Andrew’s highlights include Don Pizarro in a concert performance of Fidelio at the Philharmonie de Paris, Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius with the Minnesota Orchestra and Edo de Waart, Escamillo in Kasper Holten​’s new production of Carmen at the 2017 Bregenz Festival and Bach’s St John Passion with The Cleveland Orchestra under Franz Welser-Möst.
