On 19 August Dalia Stasevska conducts the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra for the opening of the Helsinki Festival.

The programme includes Lindberg’s new work, Two Episodes – a co-commission between the BBC Proms and the Helsinki Festival, the overture from Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, John Luther Adams’ Become Ocean and begins with a new composition by Lauri Porra, Finnish bassist and composer.
