This week sees Christopher Warren-Green conduct the Philharmonia Orchestra in a special Crown Imperial concert to celebrate the 90thbirthday of Her Majesty The Queen on 12 June at London’s Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
The programme includes works by an array of British composers, including Walton, Vaughan Williams, Britten, Elgar and Parry. The performance is broadcast live on Classic FM.
This follows on from Warren-Green’s long history of conducting for the Royal Family. Most recently he led the London Chamber Orchestra during the marriage ceremony of HRH The Duke of Cambridge and HRH The Duchess of Cambridge at Westminster Abbey, which was broadcast to a global audience of two billion.
