Edo de Waart performs final concerts with Royal Flemish Philharmonic as Chief Conductor

After five seasons as Chief Conductor with the Royal Flemish Philharmonic, Edo de Waart marks the end of his tenure conducting Mahler’s Symphony No.3 in three concerts on 27, 28 and 29 May. He will continue as Conductor Laureate and returns next season with Mahler’s Symphony No.2 for the opening of the new concert hall, Koningin Elisabethzaal.
During his time with the Royal Flemish, de Waart has toured Europe and Japan as well as making recordings of Mahler’s Symphony No.1, Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius, Dvořák’s Symphony No.8 and Strauss’ An Alpine Symphony.
