6/5/2016
Andreas Scholl and Anne Sofie von Otter embark on their first tour together with the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, performing in Los Angeles, Québec and Montreal from 11 May. The programme features arias and duets from Handel’s operas and oratorios alongside Pärt and Purcell, as well as a world premiere by Pulitzer Prize winner, Caroline Shaw.
Andreas Scholl has enjoyed a fast-paced spring, performing his own curated recital programmes at Musikfestival Heidelberg Frühling and at Teatro Real Madrid in his debut at the venue. Immediately following this tour, Andreas will perform at the Park Avenue Armory with Tamar Halperin before returning to Europe for the Prague Spring Festival.
Shortly after this tour, Anne Sofie von Otter will jump straight from the baroque to the brand new on her return from the US as she travels to the Wiener Festwochen for Christoph Marthaler’s Isoldes Abendbrot, before heading to Salzburger Festspiele for Thomas Adès’ world premiere, The Exterminating Angel.
