On 17 and 18 March Xian Zhang makes her debut with Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg at the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès, Strasbourg.

The programme features Tchaikovsky’s Marche Slave, Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2 with Alexander Gavrylyuk as soloist and Franck’s Symphony in D minor.

These concerts follow Xian’s successful debut with Den Norske Opera earlier this year conducting La Traviata. Other highlights this season include Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, her first performances with New Jersey Symphony Orchestra since being appointed their Music Director, and her return to the Savonlinna Opera Festival for Otello.
